I grew up in the Rice Lake area where I attended college, earning my associate degree in Early Childhood Education. I have previously taught at Chetek Kids Club and was the aide for the Rice Lake Montessori School. Through my years of experience, I quickly learned that I belonged in the early childhood education field. I strive to provide the children that come into my classroom with opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, spiritually. All while keeping in mind the developmental, individual, and cultural uniqueness of each child. Together we will build a love for learning!
I have a family that includes my husband, three younger kids ages nine, seven, and four and a dog. All three of my kids have attended Kids at First and all have had wonderful experiences. Before I took this teaching position I have been a stay at home mom, a teacher, and helped my husband with our family business. I have taught fourth grade and have been a reading teacher and a preschool aid. I love working and playing with kids. I'm passionate about helping children grow in all areas of life. I also love to share God's love with littles and see them become a light to the world.
